Gus Tredwell

Gus Tredwell is a British pianist currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music, where he is taught by James Baillieu, Malcolm Martineau and Michael Dussek. His main specialism lies in accompaniment and chamber music, and he has represented the Academy in their prestigious ‘Song Circle’ concert series.

It makes an enjoyable change therefore on this occasion to be occupying a central role in a piece which every pianist dreams of playing. Gus also makes a fond return to the West Country where he worked for five years, firstly as a staff accompanist at Wells Cathedral School and then as a freelancer in Bristol.

Alongside his pianistic activities Gus is a keen arranger, having recently been accepted as an orchestrator for the London Musical Theatre Orchestra. He also enjoys learning languages, currently concentrating on French and Mandarin.
